The books I’m not going to read

Pile of books

There are very few books I’ve quit halfway through. Usually I try to struggle through the part I don’t like, and plod my way to the end. Most of the time I don’t regret forcing myself to finish.

Then I tried to read The Fellowship of the Ring. I got to about page 150 and couldn’t take it anymore.

I’ve seen the movies, and decided that I don’t care that I stopped reading it. Continue reading

A new beginning

After years of debate, I’ve finally taken the plunge and purchased notquitepetite.com! I’m excited to welcome you to a fresh new start.

It’s scary, opening up a new page and seeing nothing on it. No history, no helpful hints of what might be to come. It’s the unopened door at the end of the hallway, or the mysterious package at the front door.

Strength is the courage to open the door, or to see what’s inside the package.

At the moment, there is no plan. This will be a journey of discovery, chronicled for posterity. We’ll see how the adventure goes.
